General

Does NTR use registered medical practitioners?

To ensure your safety and best results, Newcastle Tattoo Removal has a team of Registered Nurses and Dermatologists to provide expert care and treatment for your tattoo removal process.

Does tattoo removal hurt?

Pain experience does vary from client to client, our specialists will work with you to ensure your experience is a comfortable one.

NTR makes use of a Zimmer Epidermal Cooler to relieve the laser sensation by cooling/numbing the treatment area. Topical cream and injections are also available for pain relief if needed, at the specialist's discretion.

How much does tattoo removal cost?

Your consultation is FREE.

With NTR's capped pricing, you will make HUGE savings on your tattoo removal when compared with other traditional pricing models.

Please see our pricing and packages page for detailed information on our prices.

How long does each session take?

The smallest tattoo will take only a matter of minutes once cooled and treated. Larger tattoos require more time.

Will my tattoo disappear completely?

In most cases greater than 95% clearing will be achieved. Where the client is committed to the final treatments, 100% clearing is achieved.

The rate at which your tattoo clears varies case by case depending on your body's ability to remove the ink particles after the laser has initiated the process.

Our practitioners will assess your tattoo's profile and be able to give detailed information at your free consultation.

Do I have to attend a consultation to have treatment?

To ensure your care and treatment is of the highest quality and safety standard, it is an NTR policy that all clients are assessed in the clinic before treatment commences.

In your consultation our specialists assess your tattoo and consider all influencing factors when discussing your treatment with you. Some of these factors are

- Client expectation

- Questions and concerns you may have

- Location and size of your tattoo

- Skin type

- Laser settings

- Time frames

Can I have treatment on the same day as my consultation?

Yes.

In most cases this is possible, there may be some influencing factors that will inhibit same day treatment. This will be determined in your consultation.

How many sessions will I need?

Considerable fading is noticeable after one session. Each tattoo will vary in the time and amount of sessions required to completely remove your tattoo.

The majority of tattoos require anywhere from 4 to 8 sessions to disappear although some tattoos may require more.

There are a number of factors that can influence the rate at which your tattoo clears, such as:

- Location of your tattoo

- Size and depth of your tattoo

- Types of ink

- Skin type

- Colour

Will I have a scar or skin blemish post treatment?

Each and everyone's skin reacts to treatment differently.

Whilst the incidence of scarring or post skin blemishes is extremely low, there are no guarantees as to how your skin may react.

I have had unsuccessful removal with other clinics, can NTR resolve my tattoo removal?

Pricing

My tattoo has coloured ink, does this cost extra?

No, we treat all colours for the same flat rate price. The flat rate price also includes numbing cream and the option for you to choose between the Picosure picosecond laser technology and our Revlite Q Switch ND-YAG laser technology.

What if a have more than one tattoo, can i still just pay the flat rate cost?

Each client will be assessed individually, but where it is possible, we will treat your multiple tattoos in one session using the one flat rate price.

I have a full back piece that I want removed, is it the same flat rate price for a session?

Most tattoos can be treated in one session but there are exceptions with very large tattoos.

There are restrictions that we have in place to ensure that your treatment is safe and your after care is manageable. Very large tattoos usually require more than one visit to the clinic to completely pass over the tattoo with the laser. Each visit to the clinic is charged at the flat rate price.

When compared to traditional payment models, the flat rate pricing at NTR can save you up to 75% when you're being treated for complete tattoo removal!

My tattoo is very small, do I have to pay the full flat rate price?

Every tattoo will be assessed individually in your free consultation or by a member of our client support team when you submit a booking request form. Very small tattoos will be adjusted accordingly where appropriate.

Price changes are determined by NTR's team only.
